FOUNDATIONAL LEADERS

Steven Gouletas, CAM, RMP, MBA/JD

CEO 

(Active) Licensed IL/FL Real Estate Designated Managing Broker

Steve brings over 30 years of management experience in multi-family apartments, new construction, and condominium development. In 2010, he acquired and now co-owns NRS and is an owner and managing member of Abby Glenn Apartments in Huntsville, AL. Steve has successfully guided the repositioning of the property to deliver investors an 8-year IRR of 18%. Prior to leading NRS, Steve spent 15 years at a major condominium conversion company where he held a number of leadership roles, culminating in President and COO. During his tenure, he developed more than 8,000 units across 30 properties, overseeing the conversion and property management of the projects. Steve’s ability to see the big picture while analyzing the details on a large scale in combination with his honesty and integrity have resulted in our investors getting greater returns while working with a partner they can trust. Steve received his MBA and JD from the University of Notre Dame and his BA from Northwestern University. In his spare time, he volunteers as a wrestling coach at an inner-city public high school, advocates for water pollution prevention and renewable energy, and competes in Ironman/triathlon races and the Disc Golf World Championships.

Louis Gouletas, MScA, CPM, CCIM

Executive Vice President and Managing Partner

Louis is a cutting-edge real estate data scientist, financial technology entrepreneur and digital marketing executive. He studied Information Systems and Economics at Northwestern University for his undergraduate degree before completing his graduate degree in data Analytics (MScA) at the University of Chicago specializing in Financial Optimization and advanced Artificial Intelligence. Louis is a certified cloud-computing Solutions Architect, Argus certified CRE financial analyst, a Certified Commercial Real Estate Investment Member (CCIM), Certified Property Manager (CPM) from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and currently pursuing his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.  In addition to his Single Family Rental (SFR) and Multifamily portfolio syndication, acquisition and RE financial analysis consulting work, Louis is currently designing and developing platforms for RE investment optimization, unified data analytics and connected property IoT technologies including smart package boxes. Louis is also the creator of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM) revamped marketing course and speaks at national real estate conferences on industry-specific marketing strategies, emerging technologies and financial analysis. Louis has also been nationally recognized by Google as one of the leading technology executives in the real estate industry on its Google Enterprise blog. For fun, Louis teaches scuba diving as a certified PADI instructor and trains for his many triathlons, marathons and Ironman races with his wife and swim coach, Danielle, who beats him to the finish line every time.

Jane Pavis

Vice President of Asset Management

Jane brings a breadth of knowledge and experience including being the former Executive Officer and Lobbyist for the Madison Apartment Association where she served as chief diplomat and liaison to elected officials and key governmental staff members in addition to managing association projects, marketing, planning, and educational programs. She later moved into the non-profit sector where she served as the Community Management Director & Chair of Nonprofits for Citadel Property Management. She eventually moved into the private sector and became a star real estate salesperson at Baird & Warner and Estate Properties, Inc. and as Principal at S.T.A.R.S.. She worked in multifamily acquisitions and brokerage until she assisted with the acquisition of Abby Glenn in 2008. She moved to Huntsville to assume the asset manager role and the property has since received 22 awards from the NAA winning in every category due to Jane’s ability to define unique positioning in the marketplace, strategic planning, project management, and community rebranding. Ms. Pavis double majored in labor economics and journalism at the University of Wisconsin. In her free time, Jane enjoys hiking, health and wellness, volunteer service and acting.

Katie Bommarito Hartman

Director of Operations

Katie has been in the real estate industry since 2006 and property management since 2011 when she joined NRS. As a rental property investor herself, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to NRS including leasing, buyers’ representation, property listing, property management, renovation, value-add assessment, and management and now serves as the Director of Operations where her knowledge and expertise has been integral in the overall operations of the company. Katie attended the University of Michigan where she earned a BA in Psychology. She is married with a beautiful daughter and enjoys reading, being outdoors and spending time with her family.

Jason Bischoff

Senior Regional Manager

Jason started his career in real estate 14 years ago with 10 years focused on property management. Prior to joining NRS in 2010, Jason specialized in condominium conversion coordination and leasing operations while individually leasing out over 1,200 units. He works with investors every day to manage and increase the potential of their rental properties while specializing in value-add strategy and management of scattered-site multifamily portfolios.  Jason has a BA in Sociology from Bates College, is a member of CAA, NAA, and NARPM. When not hard at work, Jason enjoys watching, attending and tasting all of what Chicago and the Midwest has to offer.

Andrea Bouret

Regional Manager

Andrea brings 13 years of Real Estate experience and 9 years of property management experience to NRS. Recipient of Grace Hill Achievement and the Golden Pillar Real Estate Awards, she has been paramount for our operations and growth in Florida due to her results-oriented drive, her problem-solving ability, empathy and overall effectiveness as a leader and manager. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family, dance, and embrace cultural differences and learning new ways of understanding them. NARPM member and mother of 3 lovely children, she is driven to be an outstanding and successful RE expert.

Kat Thigpen, MBA

Director of Marketing and Business Development

Kat’s diversified background includes over 7 years in real estate and property management specializing in student housing, multifamily, homebuilding, low income, and single-family homes, more than 10 years in business development and customer relations, and 6 years in marketing, education, and finance. Kat joined NRS in 2018 as a leasing and property manager and now spearheads NRS’ marketing and business development working with clients to find the best rental property investing strategies for their financial needs. Kat attended Texas A&M University and the University of Phoenix where she received a BS in Business-Hospitality Management and a Master of Business Administration. She is a NARPM member and enjoys playing volleyball, camping, and live music.
